i killed my washing machine

Can anyone recommend a repair company or person? Reliable and not too expensive, please. My kids have almost run out of clean socks. Thanks!

Just dont call the one from Hillsborough. My washer would wash, but not spin out, so I called this guy. He came out and looked for a $20.00 fee. No problem. Then he told me that it would be $95 more to fix. No problem. Then After he left, I loaded it up again. Guess what? All it would do was spin! It would no longer wash! I called him back and he said " I aint coming all the way back out there." I was furious And I wish that I would have called someone on him for stealing my money. Then I went and bought a used washer for $130 and it lasted only one mo! Take my advice and learn from my mistakes. Just go buy yourself a new washer.

I like Sears' Kenmore models. No trouble at all with mine, and it's at least 13 years old (I bought it new).

My grandmother was washing her clothes with an electric one of these in the 1970's. I sat on the back porch with her and watched and every few minutes she'd say - Don't get near this roller and don't touch it. It will take your arm off. I never got anywhere near it. She would heat the water on the stove, then fill the basin. Then it would agitate and she'd pull the clothes out and run them thru the roller a few times. Then she'd empty the basin and fill it with cold water from the hose and agitate some more and then put them thru the roller. I wish I knew what my uncle did with it after she died. I'm surprised he got rid of it. Her first appliance she ever bought 1949 Fridge is still working in the family farm house.

My mother had one of those, had a motor on the rolling pin things. Thought it was funny to let it nip on my fingers as I played can't catch me. Then one time the pins caught me, rolled my arm up like nothing.

Now one arm drags the ground.
