reasons to be deported
Published Jan. 22, 2008After reading the comments on the Honduran man who was shot while escaping from prison, I couldn't help but be alarmed by the confusion surrounding American deportation laws. Just because this man was being deported does NOT mean he was illegal. Aliens come to this country in TWO forms, BOTH legal and illegal. Any alien commiting even a minor crime can be deported, even if they are legal and married to a United States citizen. For more information, check out the link.

I agree that everyone should come legally. I do, however, disagree with the policies we have in place to gain legal status in our country. I am a fourth generation Scottish American and know good and well if my great-great-grandparents had been from South America rather than Europe they probably would not have made it here with the same ease.
We are all blessed to be Americans and, as a Christian, I believe we should share our gift with as many people as possible.

I read your report and you must of over looked this part....This makes you illegal once you do any of the above, no matter how legal you were before the incident.
