a list of hillary's senate accomplishments

Published Dec. 27, 2007

In five years as the most influential Democrat in the Senate, Hillary has managed to get the following laws and resolutions enacted:

• Establish the Kate Mullany National Historic Site

• Support the goals and ideals of Better Hearing and Speech Month

• Recognize the Ellis Island Medal of Honor

• Name courthouse after Thurgood Marshall

• Name courthouse after James L. Watson

• Name post office after John A. O'Shea

• Designate August 7, 2003, as National Purple Heart Recognition Day

• Support the goals and ideals of National Purple Heart Recognition Day

• Honor the life and legacy of Alexander Hamilton on the bicentennial of his death

• Congratulate the Syracuse University Orange Men's Lacrosse Team on winning the championship.

• Congratulate the Le Moyne College Dolphins Men's Lacrosse Team on winning the championship

• Establish the 225th Anniversary of the American Revolution Commemorative Program

• Name post office after Sergeant Riayan A. Tejeda

• Honor Shirley Chisholm for her service to the nation and express condolences on her death

• Honor John J. Downing, Brian Fahey, and Harry Ford, firefighters who lost their lives on duty.

Only five of Clinton's bills are, according to Morris, "substantive":

• Extend period of unemployment assistance to victims of 9/11

• Pay for city projects in response to 9/11

• Assist landmine victims in other countries

• Assist family caregivers in accessing affordable respite care

• Designate part of the National Forest System in Puerto Rico as protected in the Wilderness Preservation System

DiFi ought to get on her knees and thank God every night for Harry Reid. She'd be in the ole Stoney Lonesome right now if she were a repub.

Of course, now that I think about it, Harry Reid's corrupt land deals would have put him in the cell next door.

lol. I guess justice isn't really blind, just partisan.

srallen - I know what you mean - I agree...but oooohhhhhh, I LOVE it when they agree to a tax cut! Probably be a long time before we see another one of those! Speaking of women in the Senate, I'd LOVE to have 1/10 of the money Sen Diane Feinstein got for her hubby for the military construction contracts - funny how that story was basically spiked by the MSM...

The funny thing is, I'm not wild about Liddy's record myself BECAUSE I'm conservative. As far as I'm concerned, she's doing way to much. lol. But, the libs never let the facts get in the way of a good tirade, do they? They'll take any cheap shot they can, as long as it's aimed at a republican.

To me the less Congress and the Senate do the better for the American people. Everytime congress meets all I hear is the sound of a cash register. SPEND SPEND SPEND. All politicians think money grows on trees. They forget where the money they spend comes from.

yep, I know. I pulled together a list on Dole because I wasn't sure, myself, about her accomplishments. She doesn't get much press, but she's getting things done. I've got a great cartoon and am working on a blog for tomorrow about accomplishments of our own congress for this past year. Stay tuned - it should be a short read!

Don't worry, tmed, as you can tell by his posts, he's a "registered republican". (In case you didn't know, that's the code for a lib who wants to be taken seriously.)

So, SOB, I think a case could be made to keep Hillary out of the White House, don't ya think?

I must have posted that list under an article - some that I can recall include: - increased funding to NC State for engineering programs - increased funding for our community colleges in NC - legislation to allow our state law enforcement officers to enforce federal immigration laws - funding for environmental projects including waste water treatment facilities in eastern North Carolina

Oh, and the list is by no means exaustive.

That list only goes back to August, 2007. She basically has Mrs. Bill Clinton beat in 5 months.
