How would you like to be someone's Santa Claus ?

There is a family that I would love to help out for Christmas.  But being unemployed at this time, I am unable to do much.

A woman and her five little girls (ages 3 - 9),  recently moved into a small rental house across the street from us. I have an eleven year-old daughter who has befriended the little ones.  My daughter told me that their Father had recently died in a motorcycle accident.  She was also told that the girls were being home schooled, due to their financial situation.

I have a woodshop and am going to build them a basic swingset, but I am afraid that they will not be seeing much of Santa Claus without a little help.

These girls will be spending their first Christmas without their Father.  It would be so nice for someone that is in a position to do so, would make this a special Christmas for these five little girls.

If you would like to help, please email me and I will forward the Mother's name and their address.  And thank all of you, and have a Great Holiday Season!

God Bless you for putting this out there, i'll be contacting you.

"She was told that the girls were being home schooled, due to their financial situation". That does not make any sense. What do they need to buy to attend public school? I know about the long lists of supplies, but they will not be denied because they cannot afford the supplies on the list. One of the children tells your daughter about their father dying in an accident. They just moved in across the street. Have you talked to the mother directly? For all you know, the father could be in jail or something else and the family could be hiding.

Thank You marlene54, I was sad to see this pushed of the "most recent", especially by a large number of silly stuff.

I realize that there are a lot of Charities out there, but this is a chance to help out a Single Mother and Five little girls who recently lost their father.

I found out from my daughter (who played w/ the girls yesterday), that they do not have a Christmas Tree, she said the TV in the living was the same size as her bedroom set (a 9").

I have a had a pretty good response so far, from some very nice people. But it would be nice to see more help so no one has to bear more than they should.

Please contact me at the above email for their info. Gift certificates, some new toys, maybe some clothing ... Whatever your heart tells you! Be a Santa Claus!

If only: I don't know this family personally..it's HomeTechNC...I'm going to help these girls. I don't care if their father is in jail or whatever...It gives me a good feeling to help children at Christmas....I remember my childhood. I'm going to buy some clothes and toys...if you don't want to don't!

And yes, I had the same initial reaction to the kids being Home Schooled. Perhaps it is because I have seen the girls wearing pretty much the same clothes everyday. Two of the older girls did tell me yesterday, that they were hoping to start public school at the first of the year.

Does that help you out?

At my sons' schools, they have to wear uniforms and if a family can't afford them, the school helps out or gets the family in contact with the right people and organizations.

It is pretty tough to have 5 children without a father. It is good you are trying to be a secret Santa.

There are a couple of children that go to school with my children that have recently lost parents. My heart goes out to all kids that lose their parents.

maybe they are home schooled cause the schools in NC, the public ones STINK, PERIOD. To go to school you have to wear clean clothes, maybe she doesnt have enough clothes for all of them and they have to wear the same ones everyday. THIs is NOT about home schooling, why does someone always have to turn something positive INTO NEGATIVE, dont you people who question everything and have a negative attitude need to crawl back under your troll bridge to feel righteous. sorry but dang

You don't need clean clothes to go to school. Believe me, I have SEEN it. Makes me want to give laundry detergent and SOAP as Christmas gifts, but I don't want to embarrass anybody.

Okay ... can we get back to the Reason for the Post ?

I am a retired Police Officer (not old enough to collect) and not employed at this time. I am trying to help out this Single Mother and her five little girls, whose father died in a motorcycle accident (read the above post).

I am building them a wooden swing set, buts that's all I can afford to do. Would you like to help them have a good Christmas? If so, please respond to the email listed in the blog. Thanks to Everyone !!!

hometech, were you able to find out about what we discussed last night?
