a word of caution
Published Dec. 5, 2007I haven't been on much lately (busy at work) so I don't know if this has already been posted. Someone told me about this and its true - try it yourself.
In the search bar in Google, type in your phone number. Your number, name, address and a map to your house will appear. So much for privacy! If you click on your name, another screen will appear that allows you to remove this info from Google. I did and checked 2 days later - it was gone. We don't need someone getting our phone number and then getting accurate directions to our house! I wish Mapquest was this accurate - LOL!

I googled my cell phone & nothing came up. But by pursuing the reverse number lookup, I found that for a price, you could get the info. I'm not sure what info would have shown, because I didn't pay the price.
All of this is very scary. And we think computers are so wonderful!!

Suggestions: Make sure all words are spelled correctly. Try different keywords. Try more general keywords.
