things happen for a reason

Do you ever wonder, "WHY?" when things don't go according to your plan? Well, today we got an answer to that exact question. I'm an optimist and always view obstacles as opportunities. I've also been taught that if I have nothing nice to say about someone, then I should say nothing at all. I don't mind calling by name those who have helped us along the way. I've avoided mentioning those that have created obstacles that we've had to overcome. I'm still not going to name names, however, I have to share this.
When we first began our house project, we had hired a mover to move the house. He continuously told us he was 3 weeks behind on his schedule. We went along with that for several months until we finally hired Mr. McCrary. At that time, we were pretty frustrated b/c it put us out of our target goal to be in the house before the end of 2007.
Well, today I received a telephone call from someone who remembered the name of our original house mover and saw his latest efforts. Without going into too many details, I'll just say that the single story house is basically destroyed. This makes the second house (both single stories) since we moved ours that I have seen moved by the first mover. I just shudder to think what would have become of our house had he not delayed us.
I'll gladly live with the delay! In fact, I will consider it a blessing that we will not be in by Christmas. All things considered, that's really a small price to pay!
Do you have any of those moments when something happens and makes you frustrated or angry only to find out later that it was a blessing in disguise? Care to share your experiences?

But, I have had blessings in disguise or things have happened to me that I realized would not have happened if something else hadn't occured and it was on the positive end, too!
