house: framing begins!

We used the long weekend to frame in the addition on the side of the house. It was a bit more intensive than I thought at first, but we managed to finish it before the rains came.

I have the utmost respect for people in the construction industry! Especially those who do renovations. It's one thing to build from scratch (the walls went up easily). But tying it in to the house and all the repairs necessary to do this have taken a bit of imagination and thought! Still, it's fun and we are learning every step of the way!
