Rudy's having a really bad day

WAKE COUNTY —

Poor Rudy. He's supposed to be in the lead in the GOP presidential nomination race. But today, it's like everything was going against him.

The only positive was Rev. Pat Robertson endorsing him.  But that's really not much of an endorsement. Considering that Rudy supports legalized abortion and gay marriage, the best that Rev. Pat could come up with to endorse him was "he's better than Hillary".

Umm, to most GOP loyalist voters, doesn't that apply to ANY Republican running?

Then, this item breaks today:
"Following earlier reports that Giuliani was still getting paid by the consulting firm he created, Mary Jacoby of the Wall Street Journal sheds light on some potentially problematic sources of Giuliani's private income. Chief among them is Qatar, the U.S. ally that paid Giuliani Partners for "security advice" regarding their petroleum facilities....
"Specifically, the ostensible chief consumer of Giuliani's security advice in this case would be Qatar's internal security ministry—currently headed by a known Al Qaeda associate...
"As Radar reported earlier this year, Qatar Interior Minister Abdullah bin Khalid Al-Thani has long had ties to top Al Qaeda operatives including Osama Bin Laden, and is believed by many U.S. officials to have personally arranged the narrow escape of Al Qaeda big-wig Khalid Sheikh Mohammed from U.S. agents in 1996, thereby ensuring his freedom to mastermind the 9/11 attacks"

Man, that ain't looking good, Rudy.

Again, today, more bad news from CNN:
"A federal grand jury has returned a sealed indictment against former New York Police Commissioner Bernard Kerik, sources familiar with the investigation said Thursday...
"No details of the charges involved were immediately available. The indictment is expected to be unsealed Friday, two sources familiar with the probe told CNN...
"Prosecutors had been looking into allegations against Kerik that include bribery and tax evasion, sources said earlier this week."

You guys remember Kerik, don't you? The guy who was alleged to have been a member of a 'swingers/wife-swapping club' in NYC, among other improper activities?

"Kerik, 52, is a longtime friend and former protege of former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani, now the Republican presidential front-runner in national polls. Kerik was frequently by Giuliani's side in the days after the September 11, 2001, attack on the World Trade Center, and his role as the city's police commissioner propelled him into the national spotlight.
"President Bush nominated Kerik to be secretary of homeland security after the president's 2004 re-election. But Kerik withdrew his name from consideration after allegations that he employed a nanny whose immigration status was questionable."

And, to add even more insult to the 9/11 Hero of NYC.  CNN reports today:

Romney methodically winning over South Carolina conservatives

Oh well. As Revernd Pat Robertson says, at least he ain't Hillary.
