how to add links to your blogpost

I've noticed that many of our GOLO bloggers include URL's in their blogposts to make it easy for others to click to some of their other GOLO content or content located elsewhere on the Web.
Many know how to do this, and do it often but I think there are some out there who would like to learn. So I'm going to provide a quick explainer.
So. let's say you want to link to a previous blogpost, image gallery or other content that's located at http://www.wral.com/golo/blogpost/1987198/
Here's what you would do.
- Highlight the entire link. In this case it would be http://www.wral.com/golo/blogpost/1987198/
Once you do that you will see two little icons that look like chain links in the toolbar underneath the box where you're typing. They are the last two icons, just next to the arrows. One appears intact, the other appears broken.
- Now, click on the chain link icon that appears intact. (second from the right)
A little box will appear. In the box, you will see two empty fields.
- Paste the entire line in the field that says LINK URL. Be sure to include the ENTIRE link, starting with the http. This is crucial.
You now have two choices. You can click "insert" and you're done, or you can enter additional information in the Title Field. For instance, if you want it to read "My last blogpost" instead of the long URL, you would type "My last blogpost" in the Title field. Again, this is optional, and if you only want the link, then stop there. And you're done.
You will now notice that the URL (or title if you chose a title) will appear in blue text, and also underlined. That indicates that it's a live link.
if you make a mistake, just do the same thing and click the last icon which is the icon that looks like a broken link. That will undo any you've created.
So, give it a try. It's easy. And as always...let me know if you need further explanation. I'm always willing to help.
