Several years ago,our goverment would issue temp legal statice to the people leaving the poverty of Central America, looking for a better life here in the U.S. These people were told that if they paid thousands of dollars for aplication after aplication to the immigration office, and stayed out of trouble with the law, that they would eventualy be granted some type of legal perm. statice in our country. So,thinking that all of their prayers had been answered,They started families, purchaced cars & homes, stayed out of trouble,& worked hard & paid taxes and soc sec. Then about 2 years ago, they all started getting letters from immigration saying that they had 30 days to leave the country & that they could go to court in Ga. to appeal. If they went to court, they were taken on the spot and lost everythig, and their children were orphaned. If they stayed, they had to live on the run& in fear, but their families stayed together and their children could get an education. And they could continue to work and send money to help their elderly parents..I am speaking from first hand experience, and I do not feel that these immigrants have done any wrong.Any one that loves their children, will do WHATEVER it takes to give them a good life.I know that there is not a wall in the world that could stop me from taking care of my children.I am not speaking of a few isolated cases. This is happening to thousands of families a day,and I wish that it would stop!If our goverment would issue some sort of legal statice, then they wouldnt be illegal now would they?Who actualy thinks that they enjoy having to look over their sholders for the "migra" every day of their lives?Who thinks that they enjoy sending their children off to school in the morning before going to work, and praying that there is not an immigration raid that would cause their children to come home to an empty house & no one to take care of them?If it was your life,or if it was happening to someone that you loved, you would care..I agree 100% that any immigrant caught driving drunk,or commiting ANY type of VIOLENT crime should be deported. But just being here to take care of your family should NOT be a crime!!

A new study by the Heritage Foundation's Robert Rector found a household headed by an individual without a high school education, including about two-thirds of illegal aliens, costs U.S. taxpayers more than $32,000 in federal, state and local benefits. That same family contributes an average of $9,000 a year in taxes, resulting in a net tax burden of $22,449 each year.

"Would any of us buy shares in a company that we knew would produce a loss of a million dollars a share," asks Rep. Steve King, R-Iowa, in response to the study. "Cheap labor is not cheap at the cost of over a million dollars per head of household."

PS...Those who keep up with the news should remember the meeting between the president of Mexico, Bush and the president of Canada. The whole reason for the meeting was about this issue. Soon maybe in the next couple months there will be no need to talk about this. Their meeting was about the disolving of the borders. They already let the semis-trailers cross the border.
