This was an awesome movie, about a guy who loses his best friend and spotter in a secret mission that they weren’t supposed to be on. Then goes into COMPLETE seclusion for years. Then a secret Col. (Danny Glover) goes to Bob Lee Swagger (Mark Wahlberg) and asks him to tell them how if he were to make a plot to kill the president how would he do it. So he tells them how he would do it and how he would plan it and they proceed to set him up for attempted murder on the president.
Bob Lee Swagger (Mark Wahlberg)- Plays a great sniper!!! To me every movie he is in he is able to turn himself into the role he is playing sooo well. I don’t think there has been many people who have had the acting capabilities of Mark Wahlberg. I give him 5 out of 5 stars!!!!
Col. Johnson (Danny Glover)- Now I had to put my bias and dislike of him aside for the better good of this review. I didn’t know he was in this movie til after I was already watching it. He played a weird role in this he wasn’t as upbeat as he was in movies like Saw 1 and Lethal Weapon. But he was still a very good bad guy. He had a few parts that I think if he had been a little bit more into the role he could’ve turned into a smirk laugh and turned it into a eh whatever. I give him a 2 out of 5 because he turned a lot of lines into eh whatever lines instead of great unforgettable lines.
Nick Memphis (Michael Pena)- Plays the brand new FBI Agent who is the only one who believes Bob Lee Swagger didn’t attempt to kill the president and helps Swagger throughout the entire movie. Problem with him in this movie was he didn’t really play the newbie really well.. He was playing a role more along the lines of an experienced FBI Agent instead of an FBI Agent 3 weeks out of the academy. So for that I give him a 3 out of 5.
Overall this movie, was great! Had you wondering what was going to happen next throughout the entire movie! Ending was expected though which is why I give this movie a 4 out of 5 instead of a perfect 5.
