I never imagined it would be this easy! Of course, I can say that now that this part is over. But honestly, I would not have begun to think that when they went to put the top back on that they would be able to line things up so precisely. Especially with two separate crane operators working simultaneously to lift. I thought perhaps one side would go faster than the other, or it would take a lot of guidance and trial and error to turn it just right. That's what I get for assuming! And that's why it pays to hire professionals!
For the record, I highly recommend McCrary House Movers (Richard McCrary) and Edwards Crane for either service need! These guys are the BEST! Not only efficient to a science, but personalities to boot! We couldn't have asked for this to be any more pleasant!
Here she is! All put back together (structurally at least) in her new home! Now the "easy" part - or at least the part that is under our control - a lot of cosmetic work.
That's about all I have time to post right now, but I did want to show everyone the progress from today. There are some more pictures in my gallery showing the removal of the beams, and other assort pics from today. .
