why not?

Published Aug 29, 2007

WHY CAN'T WE HAVE BEER SALES AT COLLEGE FOOTBALL GAMES HERE? I MEAN LOOK AT LOUISVILLE, ALABAMA, AND OTHERS ARE DOING IT. WHO SAID YOU CAN'T HAVE BEER SALES AT COLLEGE STADIUMS? WHO MADE THIS RULE? SO INSTEAD ME BUYING BEER AT YOUR STADIUM, I WILL HAVE TO DRINK ALL I CAN BEFORE I GET INTO THE GAME. FOR EXAMPLE CARTER-FINLEY, IT'S NOT ON SCHOOL GROUNDS, IT'S ON STATE PROPERTY. DO THEY HAVE BEER SALES AT THE NC STATE FAIR? WHAT'S THE DIFFERENCE IN A MUDCATS GAME OR A NC STATE FOOTBALL GAME?, MOST THE FOOTBALL PLAYERS ARE OLDER THAN THOSE MINOR BASEBALL PLAYERS. I THINK BY SELLING BEER INSIDE YOU CAN CUT DOWN ON THE AMOUNT BEING CONSUMED OUTSIDE THE STADIUM. AND ANOTHER THING, YOU CAN MAKE MONEY OFF OF IT (CRAZY IDEA). AS A SEASON TICKET HOLDER AT NC STATE FOOTBALL GAMES, AND LIFETIME RIGHTS, (WHICH WAS NOT CHEAP). SHOULDNT I BE ABLE TO GO TO THE BEER STAND, AND BUY A COLD ONE? I AM OVER 21 YEARS OF AGE. PEOPLE AGAINST THIS WILL SAY, "WHAT ABOUT THE UNDER AGE PEOPLE, THEY WILL BE TRYING TO DRINK IN THE STADIUM", I HAVE KNEWS FOR YOU, THEY ALREADY ARE!!! SO LET'S GET THIS STARTED, NOT ONLY FOR NC STATE, BUT ANY SCHOOL. BUT FOR NOW, I WILL HAVE TO DRINK MY BEER OUTSIDE THE STADIUM. OH WELL, GO 'PACK!!!!

really you are yelling in the blog and now you want beer...look at the schools allowing beer sales and the violence after games...if you cant control youself a bit better in cyber then what could we expect of you drinking...apparently its important to you to be drunk at the games...you have to drink as much as you can before you ...nice real nice...

Only comment I have is that the last State/UNC football game I went to, some of the fans acted like idiots without having alcohol in their hands. One of the younger State fans (I'm ashamed to say) called all of the Carolina fans "smurfs" despite the fact that one "papa smurf" was there with his approx. 7 year old "baby smurf". That was uncalled for. The UNC fans were just as bad, calling WolfPack fans "idiots" and "dumb@----". Again, this was WITHOUT anyone selling alcohol at the game. I can only imagine the joys of being around those who know their limit but exeed it anyway at a game.

Just a word from me, I am responding not to your story, but the way it was written. I would've loved to have read it, had it not been in all caps.

I'm all for it. The underage drinking thing is just another coverup. The younger crowd is going to drink either way so that should not even be an issue. I would love to go up and get a cold-un around the start of the game and refresh at half time.

The liability is just too great--not only the minors' drinking, but everybody's driving home afterwards. You probably also remember the violent incident a couple years ago that caused tailgate to be cut shorter than it used to be.

I kinda like it.I take one now and then "for my health." "it flushes your kidneys." Ask Gldys.

I think its silly that don't sell, People drink in the parking lots. The argument of under age drinking don't stand up because like you said, They are already drinking. Its just crazy.

I think if they'd let you drink at work, We would all be happier employees!! ;-}
