movie review: superbad is super good!

Let me start out by saying that the newly released film Superbad is not the kind of movie you'd want to take the faint of heart. There are lots of reasons, and let's just leave it at that.
That being said, this movie also has a softer side to it as well.
Superbad, produced by Jedd Apatow or 40-year-Old Virgin and Knocked-up fame is a story of Seth (Jonah Hill) and Evan (Michael Cera) and their final days in high school. These best friends, along with a supergeek named McLovin (Christopher Mintz-Plasse) promise to provide alcohol to a graduation party leading the viewers on a wild ride.... to say the very least.
As a rule, I don't give away too much plot in my reviews, but I found myself laughing as I reminisced of my own high school experiences.
What made this film enjoyable for me, wasn't just laughing at jokes that any guy (and some gals) would find funny, but how much heart this had. The characters in this movie made you want to know more about them.
In my opinion, any time you can combine geeks, nerds, bodily noises, and projective vomiting, with a sensitive story line... you have a hit movie on your hands.

I watched it later by myself, and it was actually quite good, once you get pass the Potty Mouth.

I do hate when movies do that.
For one of the few times in my life, I went into this film not knowing anything about what I was going to see.
That was one of the things that I hated about "I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry".
