make your prediction now
Published Aug 16, 2007I know it will be next week before we actually know the answer, but let's have some fun. Make your prediction now as to where Hurricane Dean will make landfall on the continent of North America. My prediction is that it will make landfall at South Padre Island, Texas which is just northeast of Brownsville. No prizes.... just bragging rights!

1983's Tropical Storm Dean - struck the coast of Virginia, causing minor erosion and flooding. 1989's Hurricane Dean - passed over Bermuda, causing $10 million in damage and 16 injuries. 1995's Tropical Storm Dean - caused significant flooding damage to Chambers County, Texas but no injuries or deaths. 2001's Tropical Storm Dean - caused $7.7 million in damage to Puerto Rico and minimal damage to the U.S. Virgin Islands. 2007's Hurricane Dean ???? No one has any clue yet but oil prices are rising...gotta love it..I think dean will peter out over the islands and hit the gulf as a tropical storm..perhaps picking up steam again ...going inland brownsville texas...

Crisp... I knew I could count of you to pin it down for me!
Sue, Arthur, and Jokers... you need to be more specific!
Anyone else want to make a prediction???
P.S. I am also hoping we get some rain from the remnants but it looks very doubtful right now.
