stop your whining!

Seems we whine and complain a whole lot more when it's hot outside. Nevermind that it IS summer in North Carolina and I don't know about you but I can't remember a cold summer here in my lifetime. Actually, this time of year gets so bad it's often referred to as the "dog days of summer."
No matter how much we whine or complain, there ain't nothing we can do about the weather. At least in this day and age we are afforded the luxury of air conditioning. Most of us that is. Think about the poor souls who have jobs that require them to work outdoors! What about the lady who's air conditioning just went out on her car? What about those who are homeless?
Each week, we expect our trash to be collected but do we think about the guys who are out there in this oppressive heat going from house to house to gather the garbage you left at the curb? Nevermind the smell. They must have a really long day when it's 100 degrees out and they still have to work. I can bet the temperature on the asphalt is even hotter and they're out there pounding it every day. What about the construction workers who build the homes we live in? And the buildings we work in? Huh? Someone has to do that work and work they do... even when it's hotter than hell.
Funny that we should complain when we have to walk from the parking lot to the store and back. We chose to go to the store after all. I'll admit that I've been one to complain in the past but when you look at it this way, the heat doesn't seem quite as bad if you're one of the lucky people who live, work and drive in air conditioning. So, let's stop our whining and get over it!

No A/C, if you don't rub that man's back every night you are neglecting your man. I would consider this marriage disrespect. Please rub his back every night.
