GOLDSBORO, N.C. — A Goldsboro woman was charged in connection with the theft of thousands of dollars taken from a locked safe inside a home, police said Monday.

Angela Kay Farfour, 40, of 1609 Laurel St., was arrested Friday and charged with felony larceny and felony possession of stolen property. The charges stem from a Feb. 5 report from a person who said $45,000 was stolen from a safe inside a home in the 1600 block of Laurel Street.

Police did not say whether Farfour lived at the same home where the robbery took place.

She turned herself in and was held in the Wayne County jail under a $7,000 bond pending a Monday court appearance.
