GOLDSBORO, N.C. — A Goldsboro woman is accused of stealing $10,000 in camera equipment from a Mercedes parked in a homeowner’s driveway.

April Rasheeda Rhodes, 33, of the 900 block of Fairview Circle, was charged Tuesday with felony possession of stolen property and felony obtaining property by false pretense.

Goldsboro police said they responded to a call Nov. 1 from a resident on South Clairborne Street who said someone broke into the car and took the equipment. Police did not say how Rhodes was developed as a suspect.

She was held in the Wayne County jail under a $5,000 secured bond, and her first court appearance was Wednesday.

Police said about $820 in equipment has been recovered.
