GOLDSBORO, N.C. — Goldsboro Police arrested a woman Friday for filing a false police report about men stealing her car.

Barbara Jean Lewis, 42, told police Thursday that four men approached her car while she was at a traffic light at the intersection of Slocomb Street and Olivia Lane. She said she was forced out of her 1997 Toyota Camry at gunpoint, and the men drove it away.

Lewis later admitted her boyfriend traded in her car for crack cocaine on June 16.

She was charged with filing a false police report. She was released under a $2,000 unsecured bond and is scheduled for a court date Aug. 19.
