Goldsboro store employee charged with larceny

— Goldsboro police have arrested a convenience store employee and charged him with larceny.

Daniel Matthew Smith, 21, of 768 Rosewood Road, is charged with larceny by employee in connection with a robbery at the Kangaroo convenience store, 901 W. Grantham St.

Police held him in the Wayne County Jail under a $1,200 unsecured bond.

    Sad but things like this is going to become the norm as times get harder, not an excuse but reality.

    I don't know what he stole, but WHATEVER it was, if it was in a Kangaroo store, it was NOT worth the risk he took to steal it!

    It's sad that some of these crooks can't stop for a half a second and ask themselves if the crime is worth the time they're going to do if they get caught.
