Goldsboro slaying suspect arrested in Florida

A man sought in the shooting death of a Goldsboro woman last week was arrested Monday in Florida, authorities said.

GOLDSBORO, N.C. — A man sought in the shooting death of a Goldsboro woman last week was arrested Monday in Florida, authorities said.

Florida Department of Law Enforcement officers arrested Anthony Dwayne Jackson, of 408 N. Leslie St., in Miami.

Jackson was wanted on a murder charge in the Feb. 24 shooting of Barbara Ann Bandy, 42. She was found in a vehicle on the 300 block of North Leslie Street, and she died two days later at Pitt Memorial Hospital in Greenville.

John Oscar Mumford, of 601 Whitted Court, also was charged with murder in the case. He wasn't in custody as of Monday afternoon.
