GOLDSBORO, N.C. — A convicted sex offender faces fresh accusations that he had sex with two 15-year-old girls, Goldsboro police said Wednesday.

Police said a nearly three-month investigation substantiated allegations that Jeremy Thomas Patterson, 26, brought the girls to his residence at 807-B Prince Ave., gave them alcohol and had sex with them. Police said the girls were acquaintances of Patterson.

Patterson, of 116 Shady Nook Drive, was charged with statutory rape, statutory sex offense, indecent liberties with a minor and contributing to the delinquency of a minor. He was also served with warrants for failing to pay child support.

He was placed in the Wayne County jail under a $508,000 secured bond.

Patterson was convicted of taking indecent liberties with a minor in connection with an incident on Jan. 1, 2006, according to state Department of Correction records. He served a year in prison.
