Goldsboro police seek man accused of breaking into church

Goldsboro police are looking for a man who is accused of breaking into New Hope United Methodist Church.

GOLDSBORO, N.C. — Goldsboro police are looking for a man who is accused of breaking into New Hope United Methodist Church.

Police filed warrants for Jackie Franklin Sutton, 38, for the following:

  • Felony breaking and entering a place of worship,
  • Larceny after breaking and entering,
  • Possession of stolen goods,
  • Two counts of obtaining property by false pretense, and
  • Misdemeanor larceny

Sutton was last seen at the Carolina Motel in Goldsboro.
