Wait. Why is it that the suspect did not shoot the officer in the arm?

But on a serious note, I pray that the officer recovers quickly.

I too, live in Goldsboro and have much respect for our lawmen here and elsewhere. My thoughts and prayers go out to everyone in this situation. Justice shall prevail!

Again, our criminal justice system has failed us. This guy has an extensive criminal record involving guns and violence. He should no longer be apart of free society.

I live in Goldsboro..I know Clint Hales and his dad..his dad and my dad were good friends for years until my dad passed away. I talked to his dad this morning and he said that Clint is in ICU..the bullet did do some damage, though I won't go into any personal details. The docs think Clint will end up ok, but I know his mom and dad will appreciate any thoughts and prayers sent his way. Clint is a good man..thankfully he has youth on his side. The man who shot him has been arrested well over a dozen times and is only about 25 years old..career criminal. Again, please have your thoughts and prayers with Clint Hales and his family..he put his life on the line for us, we can lift prayers up for him. Thank you.
