Goldsboro police on Wednesday arrested a convicted rapist wanted in the slaying of a 14-year-old girl whose body was dumped outside a Pittsburgh high school.

<b>GOLDSBORO, N.C.</b> — Goldsboro police on Wednesday arrested a convicted rapist wanted in the slaying of a 14-year-old girl whose body was dumped outside a Pittsburgh high school.

Pittsburgh police were seeking Tushon Brown, 35, in connection with the stabbing death of Lauren Deis. Her body was found in a dumpster at a high school on July 7.

Pennsylvania authorities alerted Goldsboro police on Wednesday that Brown might be in the city. Goldsboro police found Brown 526 E. Ash St. and arrested him without incident. He was placed the Wayne County Jail without bond, awaiting extradition.

Pittsburgh police have charged Brown with criminal homicide, statutory sexual assault, failure to comply with registration of sexual offenders, tampering with evidence and abuse of a corpse.

KDKA, a CBS News affiliate in Pittsburgh, reports that Brown admitted to meeting Deis by chance and bringing the girl home for sex. He told investigators that she got angry at him and he stabbed her to death in self-defense.

The National Sex Offender registry shows that Brown was convicted of rape in an October 2002 incident.

Sources told KDVA that Brown's wife discovered the crime scene at the home where she and her three children also live. Neighbors said that the couple had gotten married this spring, and she was unaware of his criminal past.
