GOLDSBORO, N.C. — Goldsboro police and Wayne County sheriff's deputies arrested three men in a burglary in the county and a robbery in the city.

Emmanuel Jerome Franklin, 20, of 503 Stornach Ave., Carlos Emmanuel King, 19, of 416 Dove Place, and Dwight McMillian Jr., 20, of 1805 Saxon St., each face charges of robbery with a dangerous weapon and first-degree burglary.

Goldsboro police arrested the men Sept. 2 for an armed robbery within the city limits. A joint investigation with the sheriff's office linked the men to the burglary of a home along N.C. Highway 13 North earlier that same day.

"The Wayne County Sheriff's Office and the Goldsboro Police Department have always had a good working relation," Sheriff C.A. Winders said. "I credit the cooperation between these two agencies for the arrest of these individuals in such a prompt manner."

King and Franklin were being held under separate $100,000 secured bonds, while McMillian was given a $200,000 secured bond.
