GOLDSBORO, N.C. — Wayne County authorities said Thursday that they are still looking for a Goldsboro man they believe was kidnapped Sunday night in Goldsboro.

Two men – Israil Aguirre, 24, and Geniro Jamis, 48 – were reportedly kidnapped around 10:30 p.m. on Leonard Drive, off New Hope Road, but Aguirre was released early the next morning.

He initially told sheriff's deputies that they were stopped by six masked men driving a white SUV with blue, yellow and red flashing lights.

But investigators said they now believe the kidnappers were possibly driving a 1999 Ford extended-cab pickup truck with a black camper shell.

They say the driver flashed a white light at the men to get them to pull over and that they believe there were seven men in the vehicle.

Anyone with information is asked to call sheriff's detectives at 919-731-1481 or Crime Stoppers at 919-735-2255.
