Goldsboro man sought in home invasion, armed robbery

Police said Monday that they are searching for a man in connection with a home invasion and an armed robbery in Goldsboro.

GOLDSBORO, N.C. — Police said Monday that they are searching for a man in connection with a home invasion and an armed robbery in Goldsboro.

Two people in a home in the 500 block of Denmark Street were robbed by an armed man at about 4:30 a.m. Saturday, police said.

At about 10 p.m. Sunday, the D&C Mart, at 1007 E. Elm St., was robbed, police said.

Investigators identified Samuel Keith Best Jr., 33, as the suspect in both cases, and they obtained warrants for his arrest on charges of first-degree burglary, second-degree kidnapping and two counts each of robbery with a dangerous weapon, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and assault by pointing a gun.
