"I am not defending this man, but seems like you posters have not fallen on serious hard times. When you are down even law abiding citizens start thinking of different options. Don't be so quick to judge. If I make a mistake in life, I hope that I would not spend the rest of my life locked up, I hope I can come back into society and be productive again.

How dare you defend this person for the pain and suffering they have caused to innocent people. And defend him is EXACTLY what you're doing. This man is nothing more than a common criminal who has done NOTHING to contribute anything positive to the society to which he robs and steals from. There are many people in this state and throughout this country who are going through difficult times, including myself, and I can assure you that entertaining the option of going out and breaking into someones home and robbing them is not something that has even crossed my mind. Wake up and smell the crime! Criminals belong in prison!

So you're saying "hard times" gives a reason to bust up in someones house? That is not a "mistake", it was thought about and he acted. There are other ways to make ends meet. He's lucky he didn't get shot. Walk in a house around here at 4am and you may not walk out.

So how come this convicted felon is back on the streets? This time please just give him life without parole so we don't have to worry about him. If you use a weapon to rob people you should never get out of prison. If you break into a person's home you should never get out of prison. These people are not welcome in polite society.

Our Justice System is pitiful. For some criminals, the only way to keep them from committing crimes against innocent people is to put them in prison and leave them there. Long prison sentences are needed to protect society from these people. Also they cannot procreate while in prison and create another generation of future criminals.

"possession of a firearm by a convicted felon"

Repeat violent offender what a surprise...

Until repeat violent offenders serve reasonable prison sentences for hurting and killing innocent people sadly your safety and your family's safety if up to you as the government will not protect you or your family.
