Goldsboro man charged with robbing two stores
John Curtis Nick robbed two stores on Saturday, authorites say.

GOLDSBORO, N.C. — Wayne County sheriff's deputies arrested a man they say robbed two stores on Saturday.
Deputies responding to a report of an armed robbery at New Hope Grocery on New Hope Road spotted John Curtis Nick, 48, running from the scene. After a brief chase, they apprehended him.
Nick, of 117 Hines Drive in Goldsboro, was charged with the grocery robbery and with robbing the Spence Avenue Walmart earlier in the day.
He was being held on $300,000 bond at the Wayne County Detention Center.
