A Goldsboro man was arrested this week in connection with a shooting that injured another man last month, police said Wednesday.

Rondray Darnell Gooding, 32, of 702 S. Best St., was arrested Monday on a charge of assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury with intent to kill.

Police allege that Gooding shot Miguel Phillips several times in the 800 block of Olivia Lane on July 22. Phillips’ condition is not known.

Gooding was in the Wayne County Detention Center Wednesday under a $100,000 secured bond.
