GOLDSBORO, N.C. — A 21-year-old Goldsboro man is a suspect in a string of armed robberies that has occurred since late November, according to the Wayne County Sheriff's Office.

Anthony David Brown, of 406 Quail Drive, was arrested Friday on charges of robbery with a dangerous weapon.

Investigators believe that Brown was one of three men who robbed a Dollar General Store, on N.C. Highway 117 South in Dudley, on Feb 23, and Andy's Restaurant, at Five Points Plaza in Dudley, on April 3.

The sheriff's office and Goldsboro police are investigating whether Brown was involved in the other robberies in Goldsboro and Wayne County, officials said. The other men in the robberies he has been charged with haven't been identified.

"It is always great to have agencies from other jurisdictions that will work together, as been shown in this investigation," Sheriff C.A. Winders said in a statement. "Even though this investigation is not complete, it takes teamwork and the sharing of information to gather the information to help clear cases like this."

Brown was being held in the Wayne County jail under a $150,000 secured bond.
