GOLDSBORO, N.C. — A Goldsboro man was arrested Friday after authorities said he wrote a bad check for $4,500.

A spokesman from Wayne County Sheriff's Office said Timothy Earl Woodard stole the check from his girlfriend and forged her signature. The amount the check was written for classifies the crime as a felony.

Woodard was held at the Wayne County Detention Center under a $1,000 secured bond.
