Goldsboro man, 22, charged with rape

— Goldsboro police on Monday arrested Shane Allen Moore Sr., 22, of 213 Wharton Lane, and charged him with second-degree forcible rape.

A 19-year-old victim filed a report with the police department on Aug. 22 regarding a sexual assault, police said.

Authorities arrested Moore and placed him under a $25,000 unsecured bond in the pre-trial release program.

    They are probably just now getting back any DNA test results and that is why he is being charged now.

    You dont get arrested for a crime like this if there isnt some sort of evidence...the strong mittigating factors for his low bond could be the good ole boy system and who his Daddy is...that happens in smaller towns all over the place.

    They shouldn't post this guys face and info until he is convicted. If he is found guilty post all his info. If he is found innocent and it can be proven the accuser lied, her info should be posted.

    Probably no priors. That plays a part in how big of a flight risk he is.

    That is a very, very low bond for someone charged with a Class C felony. I hope that there are some strong mitigating factors to justify such a low bond.
