Goldsboro girl reported missing

Posted April 16, 2009

— Wayne County authorities are looking for Ashlee Michelle Davenport, 16.

Ashlee's parents, Mike Davenport and Michelle Edwards, told sheriff's deputies that she left her family home on Buck Swamp Road in Goldsboro early Monday wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt, gray pants with monkeys on them and two-tone brown Sperry’s shoes.

Ashlee is approximately 5 feet, 6 inches tall with blond hair and hazel eyes, her parents said.

The parents said Ashlee was recently diagnosed with a heart condition and needs to have medication.

Anybody with information on Ashlee's whereabouts is asked to contact Det./Sgt. Tammy Odom at 919-580-4065 or the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office at 919-731-1481.

I live in the same area and have a 16 year old daughter as well, if there is anything I can do to help find her, please let me know.
    Prayers for Ashlee's family!

    Hey all...
This is my best friends daughter and his wife's step-daughter (she and her husband are best friends of mine)
Please keep this family in your prayers! There was no amber alert because she ran out on her on will, but that was at 4 am Monday morning!!!
We have posted flyers everywhere from Goldsboro, Calypso, Kinston and more.
These are good people and they are very worried about Ashlee!
    Thanks for any help given!

I want to say this was in the Goldsboro paper yesterday..can't remember for sure which day, but it said she had run away. I'm guessing that is why there is no Amber Alert. But still dangerous for any child that age to be who knows where, especially with a heart condition. Hope they find her safe and soon.

Once again, how come we're just being notified if she's been missing since Monday? Hope she's found safe.

Hope and prayers that she is safe somewhere. Unbelievably scary moment for the parents and family members I am sure.

This does not sound like a good situation, heart-related or not.
