Goldsboro cyclist killed in collision

— A bicyclist was killed Thursday night in a wreck on 11th Street in Goldsboro, police said.

Police responded to the wreck, about a quarter-mile southeast of Englewood Drive, at about 7:25 p.m.

Thomas Mangum was riding a bicycle on 11th Street and was struck by a vehicle driven by James Bunn, police said. Mangum was taken to Wayne Memorial Hospital and was transferred to Pitt Memorial Hospital, where he died.

The wreck remains under investigation, and no charges had been filed as of Friday afternoon.
