Gold Factory employee shot by robber

— An employee of the Gold Factory, 5075 Morganton Road in Fayetteville, was shot around 6:30 p.m. Thursday in an attempted robbery, police said.

Police were looking for two people who they said left the scene in a black, four-door, Mercedes SUV with damage on the driver's side.

The victim of the gunshot, whose name was not released, was taken to Cape Fear Valley Medical Center. The injury was not life-threatening, police said.

    when u live on the dole, you have lots of money to pay for SUVs like that one. You have to look sharp when delivering to those gated communities.

    WOW! The suspects were driving a black 4-door Mercedes SUV! That is nicer than anything I could ever hope to afford to own!! Remind me again why they robbed someone??
