As I wrote earlier this week, Go Ask Mom returns to North Hills for its Midtown Raleigh Farmers' Market from 8 a.m. to noon, Saturday.

It will be a fun morning to wander around the farmers' market and enjoy some free activities for the kids, including games and a visit from the Carolina RailHawks and Swoops; crafts and a visit from the Chick-fil-A cow from the North Hills restaurant; free child IDs from New York Life Insurance Company; a contest for gift certificates to Dickey's BBQ Pit; and all of the colorful foam blocks that kids love to play with as part of North Hills Kids.

For the details, read that earlier post.

And we have a couple of additions!

  • The Oscar William Cotton Candy Company, which was at our event at North Hills last week, will return. They'll be selling 16 ounce containers of their yummy cotton candy (in flavors such as cheesecake and tutti frutti) for $2 a piece.
  • And we'll be collecting diapers, wipes and children's books for The Diaper Train, which distributes them to low-income families in Wake County. They need diapers of all sizes and are happy to collect packages that have been opened. So if you have half empty packages of diapers lying around because your kids have grown out of them, here's a chance to get rid of them.

I'm looking forward to it! I hope to see you there!

North Hills is at the intersection of the Beltline and Six Forks Road in Raleigh. Find us in the commons area next to Starbucks and Ben & Jerry's.
