This contest is over! Congratulations to our winner: sweetsandy627, a Twitter follower!

We're wrapping up our month of restaurant giveaways in honor of Go Ask Mom's third birthday with a day at Raleigh's Pullen Park!

One lucky winner will get a $20 gift certificate to Pullen Place, the park's cafe that focuses on fresh, local food, plus 20 ride tickets!

Pullen Place, where you can get everything from hummus and salads to hot dogs and burgers, is closed in January for some work. It is scheduled to reopen in early February.

So what do you need to do to win? Do one or both of the following:

1. Follow @GoAskMom on Twitter and tweet once about the contest.

2. Answer the following question in the comments sections below: What's your favorite day trip for families from the Triangle? Or, what day trip would you like to take with the kids?

This contest ends at noon, Feb. 1. One winner will be picked at random from all entries. The winner's user name or Twitter name will be posted on this post by 9 p.m. Feb. 1 and an email or message will be sent to the winner, if possible. The winner must respond by 5 p.m., Feb. 5, or a runner-up will be selected. Good luck!

Mine are very young so the zoo is it for us so far

The NC Zoo! And the aquarium at Fort Fisher.

Our family enjoys day trips to White Lake. :)

The NC Zoo...someday when my kids are old enough to endure an entire day of driving/walking the zoo.

We enjoy going to Wet & Wild Water Park in the summertime!

we like to go to Museum of Life and Science in Durham, Marbles, Zoo, Kings Dominion or Carowinds

Pullen Park and the NC Zoo

The NC Zoo

Fort Fisher and the beach.

The Zoo!

Favorite Day trip is to go to Wrightsville Beach for the day. Then ride down to Ft. Fisher and take the ferry to Southport to come home.

Duke Gardens are a lot of fun!

We love going to the NC Zoo for the day!!

The mountains!

Museum of Life and Science...fun to explore for all ages! I haven't been since the renovated the property, but sure would love to visit.

We love the zoo!

We enjoy going to the NC Zoo or the Boone area for outdoor fun.

We love day trips to the zoo, aquariums, and Tryon Palace. Our next adventure this spring will be to the Hiddenite Gem Mine. They have an actual cave you can mine in, or you can wade in the creek and prospect. Perfect for when we get some beautiful spring weather :)

We love to pack a bag and the stroller and spend the day downtown-going to the museums, walking around, eating lunch and letting our little one explore! she loves playing at marbles and looking at the fish at the museum of life and science.

NC Zoo in Asheboro, Pullen Park,Downtown Raleigh site seeing

We love to go the NC Zoo, Lazy 5 Ranch and even to the Beach..

We love the Science Museum in downtown Raleigh, Also the beach!

We love to go to the NC Zoo in Asheboro!

The Zoo and Museum of Life and Science

Our local favorites are Marbles and Pullen Park. Looking forward to visiting Tweetsie Railroad and the Zoo in the Spring!

My kids love the ZOO and the aquarium in Wilmington we ride there often.

We love to go to local parks, but I really want to try out Marbles!

I'd have to call this one a tie -- either the NC Zoo or one of the NC aquariums.

Our kids enjoy anything from Pullen Park to a cool day at the Zoo!

My son's favorite day trip was to the Wilmington train museum. Next time we will sneak in some time at the beach too.

Would love to take the kids to the zoo. I'm 35 years old and never been, so of course neither have my kids.

Our favorite day trips are Durham Museum of Life and Science, Morehead Planetarium and visiting the lake!

I love day trips to the Zoo.

I have twins that are 1 and a 2 year old. I would love a day trip to the NC Zoo with them!

My kids are 2 and 4 and they would LOVE a trip to the zoo!! I would love to see their faces of amazement at all of the animals. And this would be enough to wear them out so they would sleep on the ride home!!!

It makes for a long day, but to my kids, nothing's better than a day trip to the beach!

The zoo...for the price of one admission for our family, we get a yearly membership which allows us to go the rest of the year for free (minus cost of gas). Love it!

We love the Museum of Life and Science in Durham and also Pullen Park.

Pullen Park with its awesome playground, train, and carousel. My 3 year old loves to go there and has been yammering just this weekend about "needing" to ride the train! February cannot get here soon enough!

Pullen Park is my favorite since the renovation!

For our children ages 13 and 10, our favorite day trips are Emerald Pointe in Greensboro and Asheboro zoo.

Our daughter is 11 months old right now but we look forward to taking her to the zoo in Asheboro.

My son loves to go to Jumpin' Beans but I think that he would love Pullen Park. We want to go but just haven't made it there yet.

The NC Zoo in Asheborro is a great place for a day trip.

A day spent at Pullen Park always works. It's close by and something there for everyone. Still my favorite spot after all these years.

For us its waterfall and cave exploring in the Brevard area. My son really likes going on "treasure" hunts.

Our family favorite is a trip to the beach! We havent made it to Pullen Park but would love too!!

Our favorite day trip is to the Durham Museum of Life and Science, it is packed with activities that will keep us busy for a full day from a petting zoo to a rocket to the moon!

Start off at a local cafe for breakfast, we like Benelux's quiche and hot cocoa. Then off to the park for a fun day feeding the ducks at Pullen Park, riding the carosel and train, followed by lunch at Pullen's cafe and top it off with some play on the play ground. I've been coming to Pullen Park since I was a little girl and I've enjoyed bringing my family to the park and events such as the Holiday Express and the Easter egg hunts over the years.

we love going to Wilmington/Wrightsville Beach for the day and the kids also love going to the Falls Lake Beach areas.
