Go Ape opens new junior course for kids under age 10

Go Ape, the treetop adventure experience in north Raleigh, opens on Saturday for the season.

Go Ape is at Blue Jay Point County Park, a Wake County-owned property off Pleasant Union Church Road.

It features two courses - the main course designed for ages 10 and up and a junior course, which opened last year and is designed for preschoolers and up. I've been on the junior course twice and had a lot of fun with both my then six-year-old and 11-year-old.

Go Ape is open on weekends and some weekdays. Tickets are $28 for the junior course. For the main course, they range between $38 and $58, depending on the participant's age. It's best to get your tickets in advance.

More information is on Go Ape's website.
