RALEIGH, N.C.Joel Lane's Public House will have its last service today, according to the bar's Facebook page.

The bar opened in August 2011 and is named after the father of Raleigh, Colonel Joel Lane. Rumor has it that Lane won over the committee in charge of selecting the location of North Carolina's capital with the help of a few adult beverages at Isaac Hunter's tavern.

If you want to partake in the bar's delicious tots, burgers and other pub classics, head over there tonight! They are open until 2 a.m.

The owners of Joel Lane's also own Isaac Hunter's Oak City Tavern on Fayetteville Street, which will remain open.
