A hot McCafe coffee can be a great morning pick-me-up and, now, when folks get their morning cup of joe, they’re also helping out their local community gardens.
McDonald’s restaurants across the state are kicking off Good Neighbor, Good Grounds – a recycling program that donates the restaurant’s used coffee grounds to school and community gardens.
To celebrate the launch of this new program, McDonald’s is giving away a springtime-themed McCafe prize pack including coffee mugs, roasted McCafe coffee beans, coupons for free McCafe beverages, and seeds to plant your very own spring blooms! See below to enter.
Earth Day Event at Cary McDonald's
If you’d like to learn more about the Good Neighbor, Good Grounds program or, how you can get started with composting, join McDonald’s at 1831 Walnut St in Cary on Earth Day, April 22 from 10 a.m. to noon. You can talk with leaders in sustainability and hear from a local McDonald’s owner about how your McCafe goes from the coffee pot into the soil.
And parents can enjoy a FREE coffee at the event while allowing their kids to participate in a fun activity! Actually, anyone who visits can get the free coffee using the mobile app.
Stay updated on your local McDonald's offers, giveaways and more by following them on Twitter and liking your local restaurant's page on Facebook by searching “McDonald’s at” and the address.
