McDonald's Father's Day offer

Did you know there are 25 different local families that own and operate more than 150 McDonald's restaurants in the Triangle, Fayetteville and Sandhills area?

That's right - a majority of your local McDonald's restaurants are businesses supported by local families!

The 30 local owner/operators who happen to also be dads wanted to celebrate Father's Day and all of the great things dads do by sharing #McDsDadsDish. From the funny to the not so funny and everything in between, we want to hear from you!

Comment with your best moment or memory involving your dad (or father figure) for a chance to win a $25 gift card and a week's worth of free McDonald's breakfast and McCafe coffee.

Good news - they can be redeemed ALL DAY as a part of McD's All Day Breakfast menu.

As an extra, if you visit a McDonald's location in the Triangle, Fayetteville or Sandhills area starting June 8, ask for a Father’s Day “coloring card.” With this card, the kiddos can enjoy coloring a special picture while dad will get to redeem it for a free meal on June 18 or 19th.

Tweet us @McD_Tri_EastNC with #McDsDadsDish or a picture of your kids' coloring sheets for more freebies and fun!

From all of their families to yours, McDonald's hopes you enjoy celebrating Father's Day and those always entertaining dad moments!

My favorite memory of my Daddy was fishing in the mill pond behind his house on his paddle boat with him and his cat and dog.

My Dad did all of the cooking for us 5 children growing up. He'd get up and prepare us a full blown breakfast: bacon, eggs, home made biscuits, pork chops, juice, and milk! His mother taught him, and he taught me!

Fond memories of my Mom cooking dinner, the news would be on and I would be on my knees in the chair looking out the window waiting for Daddy to come home from work. Lots of times after dinner we would go out on the boat fishing for flounder in the Chesapeake Bay, just the 2 of us. Blessed with many good memories & to still have my Daddy with me.

My Dad has always been there for me and my family and still is. I am trying to continue his example of being a wonderful father with my own three children.

my dad loved raw oysters. he would take us to eat raw oysters at this place every few weeks. they would shuck the oysters for you. funny, now i dont like raw oysters, but as a kid i did. my mom rarely went so it was just my dad and 1 or 2 of my other siblings. there was also a Mr. Peanut on the other side of town. almost every sunday we would go get peanuts. my dad loved peanuts. it was on the other side of downtown Raleigh.

Growing up, we lived very close to the beach, so Dad would take us kids to the beach each weekend
