I don't know what version is the truth but I do know that stories like this making it more difficult for rape and incest victims. People who file false reports need to be charged! I would have like to see Crystal Mangum charged. I fear that some will start doing this as a way to get attention or media spotlight like Crystal! I also fear that REAL Victims will lose credibility because of cases like this!

as a mother of three boys - they need to start charging these girsl for false allegations! This is getting way out of hand. Girls use that as a power held over boys/men now - they need to be held accountable for their actions!!!

oh, how nice WRAL, plasters this guys photo all over the place. now that the "poor little girl" has recanted her story, this guy is still going to be recognised as a rapist by the folks who don't read THIS story!

Well, who's to say that she wasn't intimidated into recanting her story by made up threats from this guy. It's been known to happen before. Ever think of that, folks?

"This is serious business and this man that she alleged rape her could file a lawsuit against her."

Sue a juvenile? Do what? What's he going to win, her barbie dolls?

"The DA would not then arrest her because "it's not worth the time."

Of course not - what DA's office can convict the 'poor little girl' who cried rape?

We don't know if it really happened or if she was lying the entire time. Cases like this are tough either way, especially if there is no evidence. Just because she said she lied doesn't mean it didn't happen.

"This man's reputation is now trashed. What a shame."

Yeah, now he has to fall back on being known as a woman beater. Totally trashed eh?

My brother was subjected to this same type of lie. Charged, placed under $100,000 bond, posted bond, then under house arrest. After three continuances in court waiting on the dna report, charges were dropped because of no probable cause. He was the only one in the police report who told the truth and was consistant. He went through you know what...all because the police were suckered by the accuser, and did not give him the benefit of the doubt, much worse, rushed to judgement. Want to know the worst? The DA would not then arrest her because "it's not worth the time."
