Read an article on another site, and the driver said his brakes failed. But he left skid marks on the road. Not sure how that happened. It said the girl had several broken bones, but is expected to recover. My guess is cell phone and texting.

A little thin on details here. How about instead of spending resources with useless opinion articles, have that person actually gather some information on real events. No word at all on weather the Truck stopped or not. If not, should we be on the lookout for a Truck? If so, descriptions?

Sure hope this little one has a full recovery. Would also like to know who it was that hit her - and why that driver didn't stop for the bus.

Need to increase penality for not stopping for stopped school bus.

They need to be much more strict. Like mandatory 5 years jail time along with loss of license.

Why are people so inattentive and self absorbed while driving that they wind up hitting children at school bus stops? Perhaps the laws, even for first time offenders, needs to be much stricter. This is just so tragic. Hope the little one is okay.
