The Children's Store in Chapel Hill is offering up some holiday gift ideas today.

The local, family-owned business has been serving the Triangle since 1977. You'll find everything from toys to baby clothes to raincoats and boots and more at this store, which also features play areas to keep your own kids busy while you shop.

Here are toys that are popular at The Children's Store this season, according to the store's Becky Broun:

1. Magna-Tiles 3-D Magnetic Building Tiles 

Great learning toys for children in preschool to third grade, ages 3 and up. The innovative, magnetic building toys are designed to hold a child's interest and attention, build critical developmental skills and promote imaginative play and creativity.

2. Big Jigs

A self-propelled ride-on toy that is really easy to use and fun for all ages!
