Laurie Berkner, the singer and songwriter who has been entertaining kids and families since 1997, will make her first stop in Raleigh this month. We have a ticket deal!

The Laurie Berkner Band will perform songs like "Rocketship Run" and "We Are the Dinosaurs" at 11 a.m., Feb. 28, at the Duke Energy Center for Performing Arts in downtown Raleigh.

Berkner, considered a pioneer in the kindie music genre, was the first artist to star in music videos on Nick Jr. and was regularly featured on Jack's Big Music Show. These days, she's starring in Sing It, Laurie! on Sprout and also appears on the channel's Sunny Side Up Show.

Tickets start at $28. We have a special offer that gets you $10 off all seats except those in the Front Orchestra section.

The deal is good from 10 a.m., Monday, Feb. 9, to 10 a.m., Wednesday, Feb. 11, at either the box office or online at Ticketmaster.com. You must use passcode GOASKMOM when you purchase the tickets at either the box office or online.

The box office is open 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. It's located on the Wilmington Street side of the Duke Energy Ccenter, which is at 2 E. South St. in downtown Raleigh.
