Fire up your DVRs! Frosty, Grinch, holiday classics scheduled

Posted November 24

RUDOLPH THE RED-NOSED REINDEER, the longest-running holiday special in television history, celebrates its 40th anniversary broadcast the CBS Television Network.

I love getting cozy on the couch with my kids this time of year to watch Christmas classics like "Frosty the Snowman" and "Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer." And they love newer ones like "Prep and Landing," too.

So, as I am every Thanksgiving, I'm thankful for my DVR, which ensures that we won't miss any of them!

A few sites have the Christmas show schedules lined up. Here are ones that I find helpful.

It's a Wonderful Movie: This website is incredibly comprehensive with a huge list of shows starting now through Jan. 1. It's regularly updated so keep checking back if you don't see your favorite listed.

ABC Family: The channel celebrates the holiday with its 25 Days of Christmas with classic flicks and new ones.

Hallmark Channel: Always a favorite for sentimental holiday presentations.

Happy viewing!
