RALEIGH, N.C. — Downtown Raleigh's tallest rooftop bar will open to the public later this month.
The 10th and Terrace bar sits on the 10th floor of the new Residence Inn Raleigh Downtown Hotel at 616 S. Salisbury St. The 175-suite hotel opened last month. It is part of the Marriott brand.

The rooftop bar overlooks the Duke Energy Center for Performing Arts and Salisbury Street. The bar menu features a mix of local craft beer, cocktails and wine. The restaurant is serving a mix of small plates featuring contemporary American cuisine with a North Carolina twist.

For now, 10th and Terrace is only open to hotel guests, but management said it is expected to open to the public in September.

The rooftop should have a great view of the annual First Night Raleigh fireworks display coming up on New Year's Eve, in addition to the annual July 4th fireworks in downtown Raleigh. The hotel also offers several rooms with balconies that overlook downtown.

Visitors wanting to check out the hotel can dine and drink at the second floor bar and restaurant, Overlook, which has a full dinner menu. It also has nice patio seating.
