Annual book sale draws hundreds
The Friends of Durham Library will host a three-day book sale this Friday through Sunday at its new location inside Northgate Mall.

The sale opens for members only from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m., Friday. Not a member? That's fine. Memberships will be for sale at the door. A one-year adult membership is $15.

The sale opens to the general public on the weekend. Hours are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Saturday, and 1 p.m. to 4 p.m., Sunday.

You'll find an array of gently used books and media for sale, including popular titles, DVDs, audiobooks, and rare books, according to a press release. Unless otherwise marked, hardbacks are $3, trade paperbacks and other larger paperbacks are $2, and mass market paperbacks are $1. On Sunday, pay just $10 to fill up a bag of books.

The sale takes place at Northgate, 1058 W. Club Blvd., Durham. To find the space, enter Northgate through Sears. The Books Among Friends shop will be on your right. Proceeds from the sale help fund materials, services, and programs at Durham County Library.
