<b>WILSON, N.C.</b> — A truck driver is facing charged after his gas tanker overturned Saturday night on US-301 in Wilson County, according to police.

Authorities said a tanker heading south on US-301 hit a utility pole and crashed.

The highway was closed Saturday night between Lloyd Road and Aycocks Crossing Road while crews worked to clear the scene. 

According to officials, the tanker carried about 8,700 gallons of fuel and at least 200 gallons spilled onto the road.
